Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn is just two miles from the entrance to the Grand Canyon and six miles from the trailheads. One of the natural wonders of the world, visitors come to see the canyon's multicolored rocks, the steep and embayed rims, and the isolated towers and mesas, which often catch the contrast of sun and shadow, glowing with beautiful changing hues. Many overlooks are accessible by car and offer spectacular views of the canyon. The Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is 84 miles away.
This Best Western provides 250 guestrooms in six buildings. The three story main building has an elevator and interior corridors, and five two story buildings have staircases and exterior corridors. Room decor reflects the colors of the Grand Canyon and features Southwestern artwork. Each room includes cable television, Internet access and coffeemakers, and guests receive complimentary continental breakfasts.
The hotel provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, two tennis courts, fitness center with sauna and spa, six lane bowling center, and fun center with billiard tables and video games. Helicopter and airline tours to the Grand Canyon are within a half mile, and land based tours pick up guests at the hotel. The Apache Stables, two miles away, offers horseback riding. Bright Angel Rim and South Kailbab trailheads are six miles from the hotel.
The Best Western has two restaurants and a bar. The Coronado Room serves steak, seafood and Southwestern fare for dinner only. The Canyon Room includes both Southwestern and American dishes in a family friendly environment. The Saguaros Sports Bar has beer, cocktails and other beverages and features multiple televisions tuned to sporting events.
