Expert Tip. Visiting the beach is a must when staying in Catania. A good one to head for is La Original Cucaracha. It's busy and costs a few euros to get in, but for the price you get a sandy beach, bathrooms, a restaurant and a bar. To get there, jump on the 427 bus at the train station.

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA):
Distance to King 1 Hotel is three kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The number 457 city bus departs every 20 minutes to central Catania. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 40 EUR to Catania. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
